Brandon interacts well with peers and is well-liked by others but he is a rather quiet boy. He is polite and respectful to adults and enjoys their attention. Brandon also loves participating in group activities and team sports. He enjoys skate boarding, swimming, playing video games and drawing and assembling model cars and airplanes. Although reserved by nature, Brandon enjoys interacting with others. Brandon responds well to adult interactions which provide praise and extra privileges for his demonstrations of appropriate behavior. Brandon responds extremely well to adults who implement consistent rules, limits, and consequences as well as clear expectations so that he is aware of what is expected of him so that he may gain an understanding of the importance of rules and structure. Brandon also gets along well with peers of his same age or slightly older. Brandon has the ability to be successful academically and for the 2008-2009 school year received commendable performance on his TAKs areas of Science, Reading, and Social Studies. Brandon needs a family who is patient and willing to give him time and space to adjust to his new family. Brandon will best benefit from an adoptive home in which he will receive individual attention. If placed in an adoptive home with other children, he will benefit if the children are his age or slightly older. Brandon needs a family who will have the time to give him individual attention and use positive reinforcement for good behaviors. He needs a family who is committed to him and will provide him with permanency.
