Description
Brandy has beautiful high cheekbones and a contagious smile. She has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh with her foster family. Brandy's foster mom says she loves sitting and talking with her, because she is so much fun to joke around with. Brandy enjoys roller skating and bowling, which she does with her foster family. She also likes watching movies and would like to learn to make clothes. Chinese buffets that serve crab legs are her favorite places to eat.
Brandy attends mostly mainstream classes with resource assistance in reading, writing, and math. She presents as older and more mature, but her cognitive challenges are obvious after a short time with her. As many teenagers do, Brandy can sometimes be a bit disrespectful, but she generally complies with her foster family's rules and has a good outlook. She has made terrific adjustments to her attitude and behavior since moving into her current foster home and it is clearly a place where, as she says, "I am living my best life ever."
Brandy has done exceedingly well in her current foster home where she is loved and appreciated. The environment she lives in surrounds Brandy with lots of fun and laughter, but there is also consistency, structure, and supervision. Brandy needs an adoptive family that has a sense of humor and that can provide her opportunities to see and learn how to develop and maintain positive peer relationships. She also needs to continue learning appropriate behaviors and boundaries, as well as more self-help skills.
