Breana is a 16-year-old girl from Kentucky who is hoping to be adopted.
Breana (02/93) is a cute girl, who is often described as being tomboyish because she likes the outdoors and she is very good at sports. Breana describes herself as someone with a sense of humor who likes staying active and busy. She likes 4-wheeling, making new friends, and sharing her clothes, jewelry and food with her friends. She says she makes friends easily, but she gets frustrated with people who constantly whine (even though she admits that she does a little of this herself) and people who want to just sit around and do nothing instead of “getting out and doing stuff.” Breana likes going to the mall and shopping for clothes with her friends. She also likes participating in sports activities such as softball, cheerleading, and running. She ran cross country at one of her past schools. She likes going out to eat and prefers Chinese and Mexican food. When watching TV, Breana likes to watch CSI, America’s Next Top Model, and music videos on CMT and MTV. She likes scary or sad movies. She really liked watching “The Notebook.” Breana likes animals and would like to have pets, particularly dogs and horses. She added, though, that she absolutely hates snakes. Breana has thought about her future. She has taken some modeling classes and says she would like to go into modeling or acting for a career. Breana is currently in the 9th grade and does receive some special education services. Due to her age and connection to her biological family, Breana has struggled over the past year with the idea of being adopted. Breana now feels that she is ready to be in a permanent home. Breana states that it is very importance for her to maintain connections to her biological family. In describing her ideal adoptive home, Breana noted that “they need to be active, love to camp, enjoy sports, and like animals.” She believes that she would rather live in a rural setting as opposed to a big city. It would be beneficial for her to be involved in extracurricular activities within an adoptive home. Since Breana has very good athletic abilities, her talents can be used to promote a more positive attitude and enhance her self-esteem. An adoptive parent would need to be very understanding and patient as Breana can be opinionated and certainly has a mind of her own.Disclaimer
