Photolisting Profile for Brenden
Brenden is a 17-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Brenden enjoys outside activities, watching television and movies. He is a respectful child and acts appropriately in public settings. Brenden is slowly but surely making progress in completing daily chores and handling consequences for inappropriate actions. Socially, Brenden isolates himself and can be easily provoked. When in a setting where he is required to sit quietly for a long time, such as movies or church, he will most likely become restless. Brenden is easily distracted by extraneous noises and conversations. At times, he becomes so anxious that he needs time to calm down. Brenden can be impatient and has difficulty waiting his turn. He feels nervous and uncomfortable in social environments. He is fearful of making mistakes. Brenden says he likes to play inside and listen to music. His favorite foods are ravioli, pizza and spaghetti. He hopes for a family with other children close to his age and pets, especially dogs. Brenden says he likes school and his favorite subject is science. He receives special education services for reading, spelling and math and does well with his schoolwork. Brenden takes medication to help control his feelings and behavior. Visit me at the Heart Gallery of Central Texas.
Brenden will flourish in a family setting that is consistent with structure, guidance and support. The adoptive family will need to work with Brenden on building his self-confidence, praising him for completed assignments and encouragement for positive interactions within a social setting.
