All adults who have been involved with Brianna since coming into foster care have been won over by her, but she is equally as popular with her peers. She is charming, polite, and quite enjoyable to be around. Brianna enjoys horseback riding, going to the beach, and attending after-school sporting events. She has a unique sense of style and enjoys expressing herself through her clothing and makeup. Brianna has a talent for drawing and painting and would like to learn more to become a better artist. She is used to going to church and has enjoyed participating even more when there is a youth program.
Brianna is a very intelligent girl to whom learning comes fairly easy, when she applies herself. Her grades are generally good, but could be better if she understood that being smart is “the in thing to be.” Counseling is helping Brianna understand how her past affects her present and her relationships.
An adoptive family for Brianna needs to fully understand her issues and be willing to work around them with her. She has such amazing potential that the rewards are sure to be worth the effort. Brianna needs adoptive parents who have realistic expectations and the ability to help her achieve the fantastic future that can be hers. They should be willing to support her artistic interests and goals and encourage her academic success.
