Brittany is a 12-year-old girl from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.
Brittany and Cheryl Ann would like an adoptive family that will love them, protect them, and make them feel safe and loved together. Brittany is a cute and playful little girl. She is kind and soft-hearted, caring and considerate. Brittany likes to help her younger sister with her clothes and cleaning. She enjoys listening to country music and Beauty and the Beast is her favorite movie. Brittany wants to be a ballerina when she grows up. She attends regular classes at school where her individual learning plan allows for modification on tests. Brittany generally makes B's and C's on her report card and tutoring and an individual aide will help her stay more focused. Cheryl Ann is a cute little girl with dark eyes and adorable freckles. She is very outgoing, friendly, and she has a magnificent sense of humor. Cheryl Ann loves to play outdoors and can be somewhat competitive. She can be quite exuberant at times and is learning to control the volume of her voice. Cheryl Ann likes to jump rope and she actually enjoys washing the evening dishes as part of her household chores. Cheryl Ann attends a regular class at school where tutoring helps her keep passing grades and an individual aide should be effective in helping her stay on task. She needs additional assistance and supervision with schoolwork and homework. Their group home staff developed a safety plan and they are working with Brittany and Cheryl Ann on learning and understanding boundaries and appropriate ways of showing affection. Both girls are continuing to make progress and are working very hard to abide by their plans. Brittany and Cheryl Ann have seen that there are families in this world that can love them and will treat them the way they should be treated. Their therapist believes that with the right family they can have a wonderful life. An adoptive family must understand their past and how important it is to continue their safety plan. They should be prepared to learn from their therapist and other workers what the girls need and how to best handle discipline and nurturing. Brittany and Cheryl Ann will do best with a two-parent family and if there are other children, they should be girls.Agency Child ID: NC01122774
