Description
Brittany is an outgoing, honest, and intelligent girl with a great sense of humor. She loves horses, camping, roller-skating, and swimming. Her favorite things to do are making arts and crafts and cooking. A huge reward for Brittany is being allowed to plan and prepare supper. She can be quite a giggler at times. Brittany enjoys picking out cute outfits to wear to school.
Brittany attends regular classes at school. She really likes school and is an A/B student in most classes. She is very insightful and is able to connect her history to why she acts or feels a certain way. Brittany is easily frustrated by change and needs time to prepare for and accept it. She is learning to take feedback constructively and not assume it is negative criticism.
Brittany has made a great deal of progress with the support, structure, and love of her therapeutic foster family. She says she prays that her adoptive family is getting ready to come to get her. They will provide her with plenty of love, commitment, structure, encouragement, and the security and knowledge that she will be with them forever. Brittany prefers to remain in North Carolina so she can be close to her two brothers who have been adopted separately.
