Brittany enjoys school and is very attached to her siblings. She is a fun-loving girl who smiles a lot and is friendly and easily liked. She enjoys doing puzzles, playing with her siblings and watching television. Presently, music and sports are part of her interests. She likes volleyball and plays daily at school. She has great study habits and does well in school. Although, she likes school, she occasionally becomes anxious and it affects her grades. Other times, she may loose concentration for school work and have a tense relationship with others. She is learning to discuss her anxieties and share her feelings with others. Her new family will need to help build her self-esteem and increase her feelings of empowerment.

Brittany and Conrad are a close sibling group who love each other and want to remain together. They will be slow to trust, and need a family who will be committed to them while they adjust to their new placement. Their new family will need to help them develop appropriate responses to their fears and emotions and help them learn to interact with peers and other individuals. The children need a family who will be structured yet will allow them to have choices. They will do well in a home where there is constant supervision and the family is willing to discuss sensitive, personal issues with all household members. Brittany will function best in a family who will allow her to make choices and allow her to have some control of her life. They also should be firm in their rules. She will do best with parents who will love her and encourage her to get involved in extracurricular activities. Brittany's new family should ensure she receives any supportive services she needs. Brittany has an older sister whom she would like to remain in contact with that is not a part of this adoption.
