Caleb is a 4-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Caleb is a helper. He likes to pick up his toys and help his foster parents with anything around the house. They praise him for this and he just beams. He is sweet and smiles when anyone gives him even the slightest of attention. He also likes all the attention and has trouble sharing the spotlight. He is getting much better with this and is learning how to interact positively with his siblings and peers. Caleb likes to do well and does not like to get in trouble. He sometimes expresses his displeasure at correction in tantrums, but even these are becoming less severe and less frequent. Caleb loves to play outside with his siblings and foster parents, especially when he and his foster father play ball. He has a battery operated car and has a blast riding it around. Caleb is doing very well in school and is already making sentences with 3-4 words. He has had no problems with discipline in school and loves going.

Brittany, Caleb, and Dakota have great potential and will need hands on teaching with patience and consistency to help them grow. The children will be a wonderful addition to a family who is able to meet the children's need for structure and consistency. Brittany's family will need to maintain a great deal of predictability and consistency. Caleb is bonded to his foster parents and will grieve for them when he moves. Dakota's family will need knowledge of autism and a commitment to help with special needs. Visit us at the TARE Gallery.

Caleb is bonded to his foster parents and will grieve for them when he moves. His developmental delays may bring some frustration or tantrums in dealing with this loss. He will need a family patient with him as he adjusts. His family will need to form a strong team with his school to help him continue the great strides he has made in catching up with his developmental milestones. He will continue to need specialized school and therapy.
