Chaniqua is a 10-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Chaniqua enjoys playing with her many Barbie dolls and watching cartoons. Chaniqua is a happy child; despite her diagnosis of Spinal Bifida and Hydrocephalus. Chaniqua also has a shunt in her head which drains the fluid from her brain. Chaniqua enjoys going to school and learning from her teachers. She wants to be adopted by a loving and caring family that will raise her as their own daughter. Chaniqua loves running, dancing and singing as often as she wishes. She no longer receives Occupational and Physical Therapy because the therapists felt she successfully met her goals. Chaniqua is an extrovert who is loving and caring to others around her. Chaniqua needs caring and loving parents with patience, who will understand Chaniqua's special needs. Chaniqua would benefit if she's the only child in the home or if she's the youngest in the home with no more than two other siblings.
