Bernabed, Luz, and Clemente have a very loving and supportive relationship and it is important that they be adopted together. Bernabed is an intelligent, insightful, responsible, and independent boy. He is a very caring child who likes to help people, so he hopes to become a doctor or preacher when he grows up. Bernabed is an excellent conversationalist and loves to discuss his view of the world. He enjoys the Discovery Channel and talking about what he has learned from it. Bernabed likes sports such as soccer, football, basketball, swimming, and bowling. He attends regular classes at school and views his education as being very important, so he is academically motivated to do well. Bernabed loves to read and has made fantastic improvements in all areas of school and his life. Counseling is helping him see his past through new eyes and he is now able to understand his feelings. Luz is a curious, spontaneous, creative, and sensitive girl. She truly cares about others and tries to make them happy. Luz has recently discovered "boys" and is becoming much more feminine. She is interested in wearing nice clothes and making sure her hair looks nice. Luz likes to play sports and her favorites are basketball and soccer. She also enjoys playing boards games and putting together puzzles. Luz is very creative and plans to become a home designer when she grows up. She attends regular classes at school and has made significant improvements in both her grades and her attitude. Luz is now able to stay better focused and on task in the classroom and her relationships with peers have improved, as well. Counseling has helped Luz cope with her feelings of loss and grief and she continues to work through other feelings. Clemente is an active, inquisitive child who likes to figure things out. He is becoming more independent and learning to take care of himself and do things around the house. Clemente likes to draw, put together puzzles, and play video games. He also enjoys playing outside, riding bikes, or jumping on the trampoline. Clemente is learning to play sports and his favorites are soccer, basketball, and roller skating. He attends a regular classroom at school where he has made significant improvements. Clemente is now able to stay focused and on task and has earned S's in all of his subjects. Counseling has helped him learn to cope with his feelings from the past. Bernabed, Luz, and Clemente are looking forward to finding a forever family together. They have shown that they are able to bond with adults and they have made really wonderful progress in improving their lives and outlooks. They will need a family that can continue to provide them with structure, stability, consistency, and lots of love and attention. Expectations should be clear and consequences understood.
