Clifton needs a committed adoptive family who can support his progress on a daily basis and help him to learn how to express himself in positive ways. He exhibits some attention-seeking behaviors and sometimes has trouble admitting when he has done something wrong. Clifton is learning to deal with issues related to the loss of his birth family. He is also learning and accepting that these losses were not his creation or fault. He takes medication and sees a therapist to work on these issues. A two parent, nurturing family environment will benefit Clifton. He will need a lot of individual attention, firm yet loving boundaries, and the unconditional acceptance of a forever family to help him develop a good sense of belonging and trust that he will need to thrive.
