Description

Cody (10/94) or "Co-Co" is a teen male with large, expressive dark brown eyes, ‘foot long’ eyelashes and a shy smile. He loves to give hugs and he likes to be gently teased. He enjoys school and he says he likes science because he gets to do experiments. What he likes the best about school is seeing other people. Of course, as a typical teen, he dislikes homework the most when thinking about school. He wants to be a policeman when he grows up, possibly in admiration of a former foster father who was a policeman. His favorite colors are all of them! He also likes all animals. When stating that he likes all food, Cody did say that he doesn’t like spinach. He did specifically mention hot dogs and pizza as his most favorite foods along with chocolate ice cream! Cody’s favorite restaurant is-you guessed it-McDonalds. Cody will bravely admit that he is sometimes afraid of the dark, thunder and lightning, tornadoes, and bad people. If he could travel anywhere, he would go to Six Flags. Cody loves to color, draw, play basketball, and dodge ball. He says the best thing about him is that he is a good basketball player. Cody likes to listen to worship music. He describes himself as having a handsome smile and a slender build. When he is happy, he hops around like Tigger and smiles a lot! He admires his little brother and is pretty close to him since they have given each other their nicknames. Cody’s ideal family would include a mom and dad or a single parent and brothers. He doesn’t know how adoption makes him feel, but most of life seems to make Cody anxious. He has experienced many moves and separations from his family members and these losses have taken a serious toll on him. He will need a family to devote themselves to him and his needs. Cody displays many behaviors that are much younger than his biological age, but he is also protective of his younger brother when they are together. Cody has been unable to live in a regular family home since he began to be separated from his brothers. Cody deserves a chance to grow up to his potential. The family to help him do that will be a patient one with either experience with his needs and energy level or a very dedicated one who makes the decision to never give up on him. There will be many tests along the way, but the loving, kindhearted boy reflected in his eyes is worth sticking with and around for.
