Dakota is talkative and very friendly once he gets to know you. He is also a handfull! Dakota is eager to make friends, but he does struggle to maintain the friendships. He needs to catch up with his development. He likes to play with and relates better to younger children because of this. Dakota needs to be supervised at all times. He responds well to strong, firm and consistent limits. He has a good relationship with his grandmother and this relationship needs to be continued in adoption. Dakota receives special services at school and is enrolled in life skill classes. He often struggles in school, as he forgets to listen and does not like to do his school work. His attention moves constantly from one thing to the next and he is distracted easily. Dakota is learning to read and enjoys books and likes to be read to. Dakota can be friendly and helpful. He is also a grand prize winner when it comes to temper tantrums. But quickly recovers, shows remorse and is ready to go on. Dakota has two younger siblings who will be placed separately into adoption. Dakota needs a very firm, consistent family, willing to devote lots of time and attention to him. Dakota needs to be the youngest in the family.
