Daniel is bright young boy who interacts well with most of his peers. He can have outbursts when things do not go his way. He is bossy toward his little brother but can be pleasant as well. Daniel is an eager learner. He loves to read books and also enjoys being read to. He is pleasant and generally a happy boy. Daniel is working to catch up in school. He is making good grades but due to his chaotic past, he is two grade levels behind at the present time. Daniel often needs directions repeated to him and can be argumentative, especially around chore time. He would much rather be outside playing sports. He really enjoys basketball, soccer and football. When he is confined indoors, he enjoys TV and video games. Daniel really wants to be good; he is just still learning how to control his impulses.

Daniel and Raul are half brothers who love each other very much. This however, does not mean they do not have more than their share of sibling rivalry and aggressive behavior toward each other. Daniel does want to be the "big" brother and be protective of Raul but Raul is his own person. They can play well together when they so choose. It is very important to both of them that they be placed together in adoption.

Daniel and Raul need a family that can supply these boys with age appropriate supervision and redirection. Raul will require more frequent and immediate behavior intervention than most children his age. Their family needs to have a lot of time to devote to these boys to help them overcome issues of the past and to continue to grow and develop. Daniel will need continued assistance to help catch up academically. They will do best in a family with strong parenting experience.
