David can be a very easy going young child who interacts well with others. He has been described as being a very good communicator for a youth his age. David often reads in his spare time and he enjoys discussing the materials read with others that might share that same interest. David enjoys interacting with peers who are a few years older than him. He enjoys playing sports. David has played organized sports such as track and he has played on the school's football team. David is very athletic, he will play any sport regardless of his ability. David has a very strong desire to be in the military. He participates in the JROTC at the school he attends. David has expressed a desire to join the armed services when he graduates from high school. He also desires to complete his college education while enlisted in the armed forces. One of David's courses assists him with managing his behavior while in school. Even though David has a love for the military, he does have to be reminded about maintaining a good rapport with the authority figures at school that he interacts with on a daily basis. David interacts well with his family. Whenever he does have a conflict with someone in the home, David will find a spot in the home to be alone until he calms down. David would function best with family who is able to give praise for good behavior. The caregivers would need to provide David with a loving, caring, and structured home environment. David seems to do well in a home in which he is the youngest or only child.
