David is active and likes to play many sports but basketball is his favorite sport. He hopes to one day become a basketball player or even a soccer player. David is currently in karate classes and he does well in learning the moves and the procedures of the art. David likes the outdoors and enjoys it when he has the opportunity to play outdoors with friends. David likes going to camp and desires to one day go on a real camping adventure. He likes to race and ride his bike with other children in the neighborhood as well. David likes to play video games and will often play action type games or games that require an additional player. David is happy when he gets to go to different places like the community center, entertainment centers, bowling, skating, the movie theater and the mall. He would like to opportunity to travel more. David is learning more about his heritage and is eager to learn Spanish. He is currently learning the basics of Spanish with his foster parents. Initially, when meeting David, he can be shy. He likes to meet new people and can be talkative after he becomes comfortable with someone. He is easily distracted and will interrupt others when they are talking. He can become confrontational when he is told he cannot do certain things.

David needs a family who will be able to continue to provide the structure that has been essential for him as well as a stable environment. He needs a family who will help him emotionally and is patient and willing to help him understand the different consequences he may come across as a growing child.
