Delton is an 8-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.
Delton is an 8 year old boy who is looking for his "forever family". He is a loving, caring and respectful child, who strives to be liked by peers and adults, although sometimes his behaviors get him in trouble. Like most boys his age, Delton enjoys watching tv, playing video games and playing outdoors with other children. He also enjoys riding his bike and playing basketball. He loves cartoons and his current career goal is to do voices in cartoons. Delton is in second grade in a regular class setting. He has an individualized education plan to help him with Reading, Writing and Math and a behavior plan to help him learn to control his behaviors. Medication and counseling also help Delton be successful in school and deal with issues regarding his birth family. He responds well to praise, and is learning to coach himself with reminders about good behavior. Delton has three older sisters who are placed separately and with whom he has visits almost monthly. Delton would like a mother and father, but he is open to single parents as well. He is also flexible when it comes to siblings and pets. What he wants more than anything is to know that he is "part of a family", and that his family won't give up on him. His ideal family will accept Delton for who he is, and provide consistent expectations and consequences to help him do his best. Once Delton sees that a person is totally committed to him, his love will flourish.Agency Child ID: NC01000845
