Demontre is a 7-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Demontre is a very sweet and loving child. He has a smile that will melt your heart. Demontre is very active and loves many different sports. His favorite thing to do is ride his bike; he loves being outdoors! Demontre is musically gifted and loves to play the drums, listen to music, dance, and sing in the church choir. He is very active in church and loves to go to Sunday school. Demontre is very smart and can read very well for his age. At times, he has difficulty applying himself to his schoolwork. Demontre does best when he is kept active and engaged in active play with his caregivers. He has a lot of energy to burn. Sometimes Demontre will tend to isolate himself from others when he is sad. He will do best with clear boundaries and expectations, and consistency from his caregivers. Demontre has a younger sister who is not part of this adoption.
Demontre will do best in a two-parent home that will support his African American heritage. His parents need to be committed to him and patient through the bonding period. Demontre has not had much to call his own, so he can be protective of his belongings. He will thrive in an active home where he is able to play and explore new activities, especially sports.
