Photolisting Profile for Derrick 'Bo'

Derrick 'bo' is a 16-year-old boy from Tennessee who is hoping to be adopted.
Derrick "Bo" is a young man who has not had permanency in a long time. He will not openly state that he wants to be adopted because he wants choices. He wants to know the family first and then talk about adoption. Bo is very outgoing and athletic. He has played basketball, football, and baseball and is very good at each of them. He is especially a good football player. Although he’s interested in typical teenage activities (video games, TV, etc.), he is more of an outdoor person. He is willing to work on the farm or in the yard. He is capable of being a good student and sometimes he will try to earn good grades and sometimes he won’t. Bo’s case manager loves spending time with him. Everyone states that Bo is handsome, personable, and has a lot of potential. He also has the potential to be a leader. Bo is fun to be with and can be easily entertained. Bo would do better with a two-parent family. A single-parent adoption would need to be male because Bo relates better to men than to women. The family could have children but they would need to be at least 12 or older. Bo likes young children OK and is not harmful to them, but he only likes them in small doses as he finds them irritating. The family would need to be supportive of counseling. Bo may also ask to maintain contact with his sister who is older.Disclaimer
