Devin is a happy and outgoing child. He enjoys watching cartoons and loves to re-enact Spiderman and Superman. Devin is the eldest of four siblings and takes on the role of "big brother". Regarding his siblings, Devin can be very protective and gentle. He desires adoptive placement with his siblings. He likes to play with children his age and likes to be in charge of his siblings. Devin is very affectionate with those he deeply cares for. He likes playing with other boys his age but tends to become rough and physical in his play. At home, Devin can be eager to help, will follow through with assigned tasks, and always completes his chores. His favorite foods are hamburgers and pizza. Devin can be a strong willed child who responds well to redirection to address his oppostion and aggressive behavior. Devin benefits from a concrete calendar for assignments, the use variety rewards and consequences delivered immediately. Devin is assigned to a self contained calssroom at school and has been successful in his present classroom setting and responds well to redirection. Devin can be agrumentative, however, with guidance he has learned positive ways to express himself.
Devin, Cruz, Elida, and Sabina are a great foursome with a lot of love to give. They are a sibling that long to be together forever. Devin, Cruz, Elida, and Sabina will do well in a family with few or no other children. They interact well with pets and all four make friends easily. School is important for the sibling group but Devin will require support and encouragement with school assignments. The girls will quickly adapt to any school setting and will be participants of all curricular activities. These children need a family who can committ to help them individually to succeed and excell. They need to feel loved, accepted, and become part of a family unit. They need clear and consistant boundaries and positive reinforcement.
