Devin is a 6-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Dustin and Devin are looking for experienced parents who are active and can advocate on their behalf. Dustin, age 7, enjoys spending time with his foster parents at the gym or riding bikes in the park. He is a fan of Rock and Roll music and likes anything electronic. His favorite games are Connect 4, Sponge Bob, Uno, checkers and video games. His foster mom describes Dustin as "an old soul" who is fun to talk with and loves to be neat. Dustin is in the 2nd grade and receives extra support to help him be successful in school. If given three wishes, Dustin would like a "gillion" dollars, a dirt bike, and to continue living with his brother Devin. Devin, age 6, enjoys sports, particularly basketball, racquetball, swimming, climbing and his favorite activity, volleyball. He also enjoys riding his bike (without training wheels). Devin's foster parents describe him as being a lot of fun to be around. He has a good sense of humor, is very inquisitive and is resilient. Devin is currently in 1st grade and receives additional support for his academic and behavioral needs. If given three wishes, he said he would wish for a motorcycle, to have everything, and for a football. His favorite football team is "me and Dustin". Devin and Dustin need a loving, caring and active adoptive family who will set clear limits and advocate on the children's behalf. Professionals working with the children feel strongly that the boys need a two parent family, preferably with one parent who stays at home so they can be available should the boys need support during the school day. Families with experience as therapeutic foster care parents are encouraged to respond. The family must be willing to participate in services, and be willing to help the boys work through their difficult behaviors and emotions. Like many children in foster care, Devin and Dustin need parents who will be sensitive to their pasts, provide close supervision, and love them unconditionally without expecting anything in return. Additionally, they should be the youngest children in the home by several years, and will need a family who is open to maintaining contact with their two younger sisters. Devin and Dustin have the skills and abilities to live successfully in a family. They have made great progress with their own individual behaviors. With patience, understanding and commitment, an adoptive family will receive much joy from parenting these two young boys.
