Twins usually want to stick together, and Dominique and Dominick are no different! They are a brother/sister team looking for a family committed to loving and accepting them both. Dominique is a preteen who likes to be called “Nini”. She has a bright smile and an energetic personality. She likes to try different things and is always exploring new ideas. Like most girls her age, she enjoys styling/braiding hair, playing video games and dancing. She also likes writing in her journal. She is interested in being a cheerleader for youth sports and in high school. Nini will need a lot of patience and understanding from her new family while transitioning into a new environment. She is still processing her feelings about separating from her birth family, so her transition must go slowly. Nini’s new family will also need to be supportive of her need for continued therapy to help her deal with past experiences. Brother Dominick prefers to be known as “Nick”. He enjoys drawing, all sports, riding his bike, listening to music and playing video games. Nick is also known to have a great sense of humor. He is well liked by his peers and is working hard on his coping and anger management skills. Ongoing therapy and medication management are needed for Nick to be at his best. He does well in a home with two parents, and having a strong fatherly role model benefits him. Nick receives educational support services, therapy, mentoring and case management services. Nini and Nick hope to find their way into a loving and energetic family environment. They will thrive with structure and positive reinforcement in a safe and stable home.
