Donald is a very active, polite, charismatic and bright young child. He enjoys watching television, playing video games and being outdoors. When Donald is outdoors, he loves to play basketball, football and ride his bike. Donald's favorite thing to watch on television is cartoons. He also loves to play card games and he is very good at Crazy Eights. His foster mom states that Donald loves to eat. His favorite food is bagels. Donald is capable of getting along with other children but can get angry and needs help to keep this in check. Donald receives special services in reading and math. Donald's favorite subject in school is math. He is currently passing his classes with the help of tutoring. Donald really likes to get his own way and will let you know when he is upset or discouraged. His tantrums do not last long. Donald seems to respond best to verbal redirection. Donald needs a family who will be patient and allow him to bond slowly into the placement. He will need to know that he is to be a part of the family "forever and ever". Donald will repeatedly ask you to prove your commitment to him. But he will be a wonderful addition to your family once he learns that you will be there for him and he can trust you.
