Dorothy is a 19-year-old girl from Alabama who is hoping to be adopted.
Dorothy, born in December 1998 is a wonderful child who has overcome a lot of obstacles in her life. Although she struggles at times with controlling her behavior, she tries everyday to make right choices. She needs a family and supports to help her learn to redirect anger and make good choices.
She is full of energy, lovable and a joy to be around. She has a bubbly personality that can light up a room. She has a younger brother whom she loves very much. She enjoys all "girlie" stuff such as painting her nails and shopping for clothes. She enjoys going outside, being around her friends and going to church. Dorothy expresses her feelings and like to talk about how she feels. She enjoys coloring, eating and listening to music. Dorothy's favorite colors are black and red. Dorothy is outgoing and can be very excited and talkative when she is in a good mood.
Dorothy has made huge progress in controlling her behaviors. She states she is ready for her own forever family to belong to. She is very caring. Dorothy longs for a Mom and a Dad to spend time with and call her own. Dorothy is a survivor.
