Photolisting Profile for Drew
Drew is a 12-year-old girl from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Drew is a friendly child that interacts with others through her smiles and laughter and hollering. She does not have the use of words but can communicate needs through her facial expressions which are normally happy. She has learned to try and get attention by screaming. She really enjoys your one on one attention. Drew seems most content when lying in her bed and listening to the radio. She responds to music and toys that light up. Drew is tall and has beautiful blonde hair. No camera can capture her smile and giggle that can light up a room. Drew attends public school where she receives special Physical and Occupational Therapy. Drew was affected at birth with cerebral palsy and brain damage. She is not mobile and is fed through a g-tube button as she is incapable of swallowing and is prone to aspiration. Drew rarely cries and appears happy most of the time. She really does well around other children and is used to being a part of a large family. Drew has unspecified congenital abnormal brain, seizure disorder, encephalopathy, severe scoliosis in addition to the Cerebral Palsy. She is able to track movements with her eyes and does wear glasses. She is unable to bear any weight due to hip dysphasia. This condition is very painful for her. Drew does require a high level of supervision in order to sustain life. But she is very loveable and every milestone is such a heart warming experience for those around her. Visit me at the TARE Gallery.
The perfect family for Drew would need to have knowledge of her medical needs, be committed and patient, and be able to show her lots of love and attention. This family would not find her difficult as they help her reach her fullest potential. Drew will take time to adjust to a new routine.
