He enjoys riding his bike, scooter, and skateboard, but his favorite things to do are to go to the river to fish or swim with his foster family. His foster mom works with him to increase his academic skills and be more attentive to completing assignments. Dustin loves being in middle school now and enjoys the social relationships he is forming. Dustin's progress in his current home has been a direct result of the time, attention, and attitude of his foster parents. By "normalizing" his behaviors rather than overreacting to them, Dustin has been able to move in a positive direction. Dustin needs an adoptive family who is open to some type of contact with his birth parents if it becomes important to him, as he is concerned about their well-being.
