Photolisting Profile for Dylan

Dylan is a 13-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Dylan is a very endearing boy who is quick to smile. He is accustom to being in charge and is very independent. Dylan can display challenging behaviors but he blossoms when complimented. Dylan is sensitive and sometimes moody, but these characteristics are what makes him able to relate with others and to be a champion for the underdog. Dylan is very open and loving when he is assured that someone will be there for him. He does like to get his own way. He is currently involved in Boy Scouts and is fond of the types of activities done in Boy Scouts. He loves the outdoors and fancies himself as a frontiersman. Dylan loves to be able to do things with his hands and see the immediate results. He at times finds school challenging because he has to follow a format when he wants to explore other options. He can be redirected easily especially once a trust and rapport is established.

Dylan will benefit from a loving family who can provide him with a structured environment, consistent limits, and firm boundaries. Dylan will do well in a home with a male role model (ie father or older sibling). He is active, and will thrive with a family that will keep him involved in various activities. Dylan has three siblings who are not a part of this adoption. He is very bonded with his siblings and it is important that he maintain contact with them.
