This tall handsome guy is Elijah. He was born June of 1992. Elijah has exceptionally good manners, a great sense of humor, and likes to talk. He is very energetic and his favorite activities are football, listening to music, playing video games, watching movies and reading. Elijah is currently attending high school and making great progress. In previous school years, Elijah had trouble relating to peers and staff. Last year, he was able to turn himself around. He made a major accomplishment by ending the year as an honor roll student. The teachers reported that “he is a joy” to have in class. His favorite subject is German and he participated in a play where the script was written entirely in German. Elijah wishes to pursue a career in film making and has already started preparing by writing his own play. At school, he is working toward scholarship assistance. He would like to attend Eastern Kentucky University once he graduates. Elijah needs a home that is supportive of his aspirations yet, highly structured and able to patiently help him learn daily independent living skills.
