Erika is a lovely girl that enjoys music and tries to dance by moving her arms with the foster parent. Erika likes to be outdoors and seems to respond in a positive way to the air breeze and bird sounds. Erika likes to spend time in the kitchen especially when her foster parent is baking or cooking. Erika needs a lot of attention and care. Erika requires that her foster parents move her body every 2 hours to prevent her from developing pressure sores on the bony areas of her body. She is diagnosed with Shaken Baby Syndrome, Optic Nerve Atrophy, Hydro Cephalitus and has limited movement of her upper and lower extremities. Erika needs a family who is willing to give Erika a lot of time, love and attention. Erika also needs a family who is willing to learn how to care for her needs. A family who is willing to follow through with medical appointments and sometimes-spending long hours at the hospital if necessary. Erika's feeding tube needs to be monitored at all times. Erika has a routine and schedule to eat, bathe, and take her medications. Erika has been successful in a positive and nurturing environment.
