Reilly (4/99) and Ethan (5/02) are two delightful brothers who need a adoptive home to grow up in. Both boys have brown hair and blue eyes. Ethan tends to be slender while Reilly has a more athletic build. Reilly is in second grade and Ethan is in kindergarten. Both boys are getting support services in school. Ethan appears to be close to his grade level academically but has delays in fine & gross motor skills and in his speech. School is providing necessary services and help in these areas. Reilly did not attend school regularly while in the birth home so has some academic delays as well. The boys entered care in 10/06 due to emotional abuse and neglect. They have also been exposed to domestic violence, substance abuse and physical abuse. Reilly and Ethan had their parental rights terminated in 8/07 and are legally freed for adoption. The boys have remained in the same foster home since they entered care. As expected, the boys are sad and have expressed anger due to all they have been through. Reilly tends to be aggressive at times to the people around him and can take out some of his anger and frustration on his younger brother. Ethan tends to withdraw and isolate himself when he is uncomfortable or feels unsafe. Both boys are cute, loving, have a great sense of humor and love to play. Other activities they enjoy are watching TV and movies, playing with cars and trucks and doing puzzles. Reilly really loves anything to do with equipment like big tractors, etc. Both boys enjoyed a recent visit to a children's museum. Ethan and Reilly would do well in a home where they are the youngest children. There is a history of needing supervision around animals. The boys would thrive in a home where they have firm and consistent limits and a parent who could be home with them after school though all families will be considered.
