Fabian is a very happy and content child. He has great social skills as he smiles and makes eye contact with others. Fabian is able to interact with his caregivers. He is becoming more aware of his environment and makes attempts to engage. Fabian often displays fear of noises and at times appears aloof. He communicates his needs to his caregivers through crying. Fabian's caseworker and foster parent note that he appears to thrive with one-on-one attention. He enjoys people talking to him and playing with him. His foster parents add that he's a loveable child who enjoys music and lighted toys. Overall, they describe him as a happy and playful child. Fabian was born prematurely and has medical needs that impact his ability to complete daily activities. Fabian is diagnosed with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and oral aversion. He requires assistance with hygiene and g-tube feeding. Fabian needs continuous monitoring through medical appointments to alleviate further medical problems that may affect his development. Fabian learns at a slower rate than others his age and is progressing developmentally. Fabian wears glasses and appears to walk straighter when his glasses are on. Fabian enjoys going on family outings to the park and sporting events. He loves playing activities such as "chase" and "tag". He equally enjoys playing alone and entertaining himself. Fabian loves listening to music and playing with musical toys that light up. Fabian attends school regularly. He receives occupational therapy to help his writing skills and skills necessary for the classroom. Fabian is able to interact with the other children in the classroom. He has started responding better to redirection from his teachers since he has warmed up to them. Fabian is able to recognize his name when called. He can communicate a few words such as "mamma", "dada", "baby", "up" "uh-oh", "hi" and "bye". He is also eligible for speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy.

Fabian needs a parents who are loving, patient and can help him continue to meet developmental milestones. An adoptive family for Fabian will need to be educated on all of Fabian's medical needs. It's helpful that an adoptive family is experienced or willing to learn how to meet his specialized needs.
