Photolisting Profile for Felix
Felix is a 3-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Felix is a happy, loveable child and loves to be the center of attention. He can be shy at first, but will open up as soon as he feels comfortable. He loves to give and receive hugs. He is walking and beginning to talk. Felix is not a morning person and loves to sleep. He also likes to play with his toys. His favorites are the ones that make noise or that he can push around or walk with. He loves to watch Barney, Sponge Bob and Sesame Street. He also likes to play with balls and with other children. He loves animals, especially dogs. Felix has several medical challenges. He was born with Vator Syndrome and Short Gut Syndrome. Felix has had many surgeries to correct his medical concerns and will need more in the future. He is required to be fed through a G-Tube 4 times a day and mostly eats vanilla yogurt and baby formula at this time. He is drinking water from a sippy cup. Felix receives speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy two times a week. He is on target academically and is very social. He sees his pediatrician every month to monitor his progress. Visit us at the San Antonio Heart Gallery.
Felix needs a family who has knowledge of his medical diagnoses and is willing to research and learn more as he grows older. His family will need to advocate for him to receive the services and medical care he needs. The family will also need to have patience and understanding for Felix and his limitations. He will do best in a family that has few children as he requires a lot of attention. This family will need to be able to take him to the doctor on a regular basis and transport him to and from therapies.
