Fernando "Fernie" is a friendly youth who enjoys socializing with his peers. His favorite activity is playing video games, listening to music, playing with the computer and talking on the phone. He likes doing "teenager" things like watching TV and being out with friends. Fernando is initially quiet and shy, however once comfortable he will become very conversational. Fernie likes to joke around and make people smile. He is able to maintain a positive relationships with peers, and is respectful and polite to adults. Fernie is in High School were he is taking regular classes. Even though, Fernie is bilingual he is taking a Spanish class so he can learn how to properly write in Spanish. Fernie would like to join the junior football team next school year. Fernie likes to play football with his friends and watch the Dallas Cowboys play. Fernie had a summer job in a tele-marketing agency, he was very responsible in getting to work on time. He would like to be a diesel mechanic when he graduates from High School. Fernie enjoys working on cars since his uncle introduced him to that when he was younger. Fernie is doing well in his current foster home, and is described as easy going and has formed positive attachments with his foster parent. The ideal family for Fernando would be a loving family, possibly with other children close to his age. Fernando would also do well in a home with just a father. He would benefit from a family who is active and enjoys extracurricular activites and enjoys family outings. Fernando will also benefit from a family with structure and consistency. Fernando wants a family who is going to be active and have him involved in different things. Fernando is full of energy and likes to be doing different activities around the house. Fernando would like to keep in touch with his maternal grandmother and older sister at least by phone.
