Hakeem is a sweet and shy pre-teen. He is involved in several activities such as sports and the Boy Scouts. Hakeem enjoys reading books and playing video games. He did well when he took Karate classes in the past. Hakeem has a great appetite for learning and does well in school. He does need help to keep focused. He has successfully addressed past speech difficulties with speech therapy. His favorite subject is Science. Hakeem needs minimal redirection to finish tasks and gets along with his peers of all ages. He is becoming more open with his feelings and works on trying to correct any problems. Hakeem needs a forever family who would continue to provide unconditional love in a consistent structured home environment. He does well with younger children and his family would need to explore and accept Hakeem's Nigerian cultural background. This will help Hakeem to build on his present personal and academic skills which will help Hakeem overcome the challenges that he continues to face.
