Heriberto is in need of a family who will commit to him permanently, and provide life long support throughout adulthood. He has warm brown eyes and a calming disposition. Heriberto has many medical needs due to his diagnosis of respiratory failure and anoxic encephalophathy. He is mentally retarded, non-ambulatory, and non-verbal. He responds to audio or tactile stimuli and is able to follow sounds by moving his head. Heriberto expresses his needs through facial expressions and slight movement of his arms. Heriberto needs a family who will treasure each of his small stepping stones.
