Photolisting Profile for Hugo

Hugo is a 16-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.

Hugo is a bright, approachable, outspoken boy who gets along with everyone once he warms up to you. Hugo is an indoor person who likes to read Harry Potter type books, work on his computer, and play computer games. He also likes to compose rap lyrics, listen to rap music, and play video games. Hugo is diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. He can walk and do most of the activities that other children his age can do despite the irregularity of his legs. He does not like to be excluded because of his diagnosis and has the determination and confidence to keep up with his friends. Foster parents describe Hugo as approachable, polite when he wants to be, and able to work up to be your best friend. He likes to be in control and is clever at attaining his preferences by indirect means. Hugo enjoys having others take charge so that he can take credit for the results. Hugo enjoys being the center of attention and letting you know what he is capable of. His behavior can be headstrong and unresponsive however he is working on learning more acceptable ways to manage his emotions. Hugo is challenged in school to stay focused and complete his school work. Teachers have commented that Hugo has great potential but needs encouragement to stay on task and not the authority of his teachers. Hugo gets along well with all students and most teachers and especially the guys who share his class schedule. Visit me at the TARE Gallery.

Hugo will benefit from an active family who will challenge him to set and meet his physical and academic goals. A family who prefers indoor activities, listening to music, and reading will do well with Hugo. The family will need to have experience raising or living with adolescents and have an understanding of the needs and issues of parenting a young teen. A family with no other children in the home would be in Hugo's best interest.
