Isaiah is an affectionate boy who seeks rewards for good behavior and loves to be praised. He can be quiet and play independently or with his sister, but he is definitely all boy and loves to play outside. Isaiah most enjoys riding his bike and playing basketball. He has very good manners and is respectful to those he considers authority figures. Isaiah is a very bright child and can likely accomplish anything he puts his mind to. He attends mostly regular classes at school where he was previously an A/B honor roll student. Isaiah currently receives three hours per day of special assistance to help him better focus on his work while also working through his emotions. He most benefits from a structured environment where the rules and expectations are clear and in this type of setting, he easily follows rules. He has a keen sense of fairness and does not accept personal injustice. Counseling is helping Isaiah with problem solving and accepting responsibility for his actions. An adoptive family for Isaiah needs to understand that he is a very bright boy who will know when he is not being treated fairly and will challenge this if he feels the need to. They should be supportive and encouraging of Isaiah’s continued academic success and support his desire to have visits and contact with his sister.
