Isaiah

Isaiah is a 16-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.
Isaiah loves basketball and tries to spend as much time as possible perfecting his game. He plays on a recreation league team and enjoys both practices and games. In his free time, Isaiah enjoys swimming, reading mystery books and writing and he has recently started taking boxing classes. Those around Isaiah describe him as charming, talented, quirky and very expressive. Isaiah describes himself as "funny, fine and happy".
In school, Isaiah struggles with reading and math and has support services to help him academically. He has recently experienced a series of losses, which has caused his behavior to regress at school. However, his team is currently working on ways to support him in school and help him transition through his latest series of disappointments.
Isaiah's team is looking for a single father or two parent family that is active and can provide lots of attention and structure. The family must be loving, patient and sensitive to Isaiah's needs, including his desire to continue some form of contact with his grandparents. Isaiah has requested a two parent family with no other children in the home. Isaiah needs a family that can help support him in his interests (basketball and writing) and provide him with a sense of safety and love to help him through the grief he has experienced in his short life.
