Israel

Israel is a 17-year-old boy from Texas who is hoping to be adopted.
Israel is a healthy child. He speaks English and Spanish. He is very active, charismatic, and socializes well with other children. Israel enjoys participating in young boy activities and loves playing outside. Some of the outside sports/activities that he likes are bike riding, soccer, and football. Israel usually enjoys playing team sports and playing with other children. He likes toys and video-games. Some of the foods that Israel likes are pizza, burritos, and chinese food. Israel has good grades in school. Previously, he was in modified classes. This could have been partly due to the language barrier, as English is Israel's second language. Israel will sometimes deny having homework and will not study properly or adequately review for his academic materials. Israel likes to be helpful and sometimes will go out of his way to assist. Currently, one of his favorite subjects in school is math. Israel sometimes does not want to comply with doing his chores but he responds well to redirection. Israel can be daring, but he is pretty well behaved and he enjoys playing with others. Israel also likes making people laugh, if given the opprotunity. Israel is not known for causing trouble, but if there is an issue he will listen and try to understand what he has done.
Israel will benefit from a bilingual Hispanic family with structure and consistency. He needs a family that will preserve his heritage and will display emotion and affection through social interaction. Israel needs a family that will provide boundaries and help him develop ethics and morality. He needs to be kept on task to redirect inappropriate behaviors. Israel needs a family that will provide a stable, consistent, nurturing environment. He will need limits set in a loving manner. He needs a family that will encourage him to excel in order to reach his dreams. Israel is looking for a family with a mother and father. Israel needs a strong male role model who will be able to help him understand and cooperate in male oriented activities. Israel will also benefit from a mother who is nuturing, but also structured in her rules and consequenses. Lastly, he needs parents that will help him to become independent once trust has been established.
