Ivory shows a lot of concern and care about his siblings. He can be competitive with his older brother and protective of his younger sister. Most of the time Ivory is pretty quiet. He's a curious person and has a good memory. Ivory gets excited about receiving gifts and can also be thoughtful. Ivory likes to be listneed to. Ivory enjoys watching TV, playing outside, playing sports, and playing with toys. Some of his favorite toys are Cars and Spiderman figures. Ivory is a talented artist and expresses himself best through art. He's not picky about his food and eats pretty much anything but especially likes McDonald's food. It takes Ivory time to warm up to new people and he is not very trusting. He is not talkative with adults and has a hard time verbalizing his feelings. He gets along mostly with children that are younger than him. Ivory struggles to have positive peer relationshps. He shows affection toward people he is comfortable with. Ivory is playful and has a hearty laugh. He likes to share and is very opinionated. Foster parents have said that Ivory can be affectionate once he gets to know you. Therapists have said that Ivory has been pretty resilient through his life experiences and has the ability to think positively. Teachers have said that school is a frustrating place for Ivory but he will fight his way to achieve something.
Jason, Ivory and Harriniqua were displaced by Hurricane Katrina and subsequently came into state's care. Being separated from their birth parents and each other has been challenging; however, they remain resilient and hopeful that an adoptive family will make a lifelong commitment to them and give them a fresh start on life. The home that is open to accepting Ivory and his siblings must be very patient and loving. These children need a family with big hearts and a willingness to provide a safe, loving, supportive forever home for Ivory and his siblings. It is also believed that Ivory as well as his siblings would benefit from a family with a strong male role model.
