Jahmal is a very personable and intelligent child. He likes playing video games and occassionally will particiapte in team sports. He is energetic and amiable and tends to make friends easily. Jahmal willingly engages in conversation with people he does not feel threatened by. Jahmal presents himself as a child that enjoys positive attention. Jahmal gets along with his foster parents and sister most of the time. Jahmal plays the role of big brother to Jade and is very protective of her. He considers their relationship to be "ok". He is able to follow household rules, but does not like to be told "no". At school, Jahmal has shown significant progress, but continues to need assistance with paying attention to regular classroom tasks and complying with his teacher's requests to do his work. Jahmal enjoys learning and he responds well to positive reinforments.
