Jake is a 16-year-old boy from Florida who is hoping to be adopted.

Jake is a vibrant teenage boy. Jake has dark brown hair, brown eyes, freckles, and wears glasses. Bowling is Jake's favorite activity, he looks forward to trips to the bowling alley. Jake's disability requires that Jake have a very structured environment with consistent routines and activities. Jake enjoys attending church and singing hymns. Although Jake loves basketball and playing he does not understand the rules and processes of games. Jake likes playing on the computer and playing outside. Jake has difficulty communicating his needs. He does not respond well to change in his routine and very much needs consistency. Jake has successfully remained in his current foster home for five years but the foster parents are unable to adopt. The foster parents have provided a consistent routine which has allowed Jake to flourish. Jake needs a family that has time to spend developing Jake's strengths and working with Jake on his social and behavioral skills.
