Description
James is a bright child who likes school and going to church, He enjoys working on the computer in his foster home. A middle school student in regular classes, he does well in school and has no conduct problems. James has no developmental or health issues. Living in the same home as his sister Jessica, James is occasionally jealous of other family members, but otherwise has good social skills. He enjoys sports and is an animal lover. He has allergies and a tube in one ear. James is receptive to adoption and looks forward to having a family.
These two siblings, Jessica and James, are very close and want to remain together. Jessica has been diagnosed with Familial Benign Chorea, but her brother James is healthy. Jessica and James have a younger brother and an older sister, who will be placed separately. Allowing continued contact with the siblings is important to the children. Jessica and James need a parent or parents that can meet the needs of a thriving adolescent as well as a sibling with significant health issues. The family that takes this sibling group will need to be able to work closely with professionals for Jessica and follow through on medical advice. James needs a family that will adopt him and his sister and encourage continued contact with other siblings who are not a part of this placement. He needs a family that will help him develop his talents and help him with his grief issues. He needs a family that will offer structure and help him understand his sibling's medical issues. He needs a strong male role model as he has little respect for women at this time.
