Jarrod is an active boy, who enjoys sport activities. He has expressed that he would like to play basketball for his school. Jarrod stated that he also loves attending church and participating with the youth organization. He was also enrolled in Karate which he enjoys very much. During karate, Jarrod was introduced to self discipline concepts, which enhances his ability to listen and follow instructions. Jarrod attends mid-week bible study and Sunday morning church service with the foster family. These activities allow Jarrod the opportunity to work on building positive adult relations and use of core social skills. Jarrod is often touchy or easily annoyed by others and can be uncooperative or demanding at times. He can have more dramatic changes in mood compared to others of the same age and background. Jarrod seeks a family who will allow him to continue to be a part of school and church activities that interest him. He wants a family that will help him continue to understand his race and heritage. Jarrod needs a family that will ultimately provide him with guidance and attention on a daily basis. He will do best with parents who are patient and understanding with him.
