Description

Taylar, Elizabeth, and Javon are very close and hope to find a loving, gentle, and supportive forever family. Taylar is an outgoing, active, expressive, and caring little girl. She is also independent, determined, and able to easily solve problems. Taylar is a quick thinker with a witty sense of humor. She loves to memorize songs and sing them out loud. Taylar also likes to play dress up and wear accessories like bracelets, necklaces, and rings. She enjoys playing with her Bratz doll, video games, and board games. She attends church and is learning how to participate in youth activities. Taylar attends regular classes at school where she excels at academics and is on the honor roll. She works well independently and gets along well with other students and her teacher. She is proud to have been Student of the Month last April. In her counseling sessions Taylar openly discusses her feelings about school, foster care, and peer relationships. Elizabeth is a quiet, shy, and nurturing girl who played the part of the parent to her younger siblings for several years. She is very smart and problem solves with ease. Elizabeth loves to read, play with her dolls, and go to the movies. She loves cookies and going out to eat. Elizabeth assumes total care for herself and will follow instructions when given. She attends regular classes at school where she excels academically. Elizabeth is very open and pleasant during counseling sessions where she talks with her therapist about her feelings and daily activities. Javon is described as being “all boy” and loves to be outside doing almost anything, especially getting dirty. He enjoys being inside playing with toys and watching cartoons, but he loves his Hotwheels, playing basketball, and riding his bike outdoors. Javon can be quiet and loving, too, and is not afraid to show affection. He is quite a creative, curious, and clever little boy. Javon attends a regular classroom at school where he usually completes his class work before the other students. He grasps new concepts very easily and enjoys writing. Javon needs academic challenges and a strong teacher to provide them to keep him from becoming bored and disrupting other students. Counseling is helping Javon learn to better communicate with others and helps him identify people of support in his life. It is important for these three children to be adopted together and to have continued contact with a younger brother who is being adopted separately. They are intelligent, warm, and wonderful children with extremely bright futures. An adoptive family for Taylar, Elizabeth, and Javon should have a gentle nature and not be too loud and boisterous. They must be able to express love and affection openly to all three children. It is very important that they not expect or allow Elizabeth to fall into a parenting role such as through babysitting, even though she would likely want to. She deserves to experience what is left of her childhood as a child and not be limited from developing a sense of who she really is.
