Javon loves to play out doors with other children in the neighborhood and at school. He is a very energetic child and enjoys being around other people. He is kind, sensitive, respectful, and caring. Javon loves being the center of attention and being in the company of other children and adults. Javon is very assertive and loves expressing himself in creative ways. He is interested in different types of toys, playing games and watching cartoons. He loves to play video games, especially games on the computer. He also likes to play basketball. He interacts well with peers and these relationships are influenced by Javon's desire to be completely involved in all activities. Javon loves eating home cooked meal and is always willing to lend helping hand in the kitchen. Javon's behavior can be challenging at times, but he is able to be re-directed. Javon is working hard on expressing his emotions through positive outlets. He requires structure and some redirections. Javon responds well to strong, supportive and consistent role-models. When necessary, Javon responds well to positive and consistent discipline. Javon loves going to school. He sometimes struggles with his work adn can be disruptive in class, but he responds well to continual encouragement from school staff and caregivers. Javon needs caring adoptive parents, who are willing to dedicate time to building a relationship based upon trust and confidence. Javon will benefit from two parent family that can provide him with a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. Javon will need an adoptive family that is active and can keep him focused on positive activities. The family should also be receptive to ongoing sibling contact, allowing Javon to nurture the relationship with his older brother.
