Description
This very active and talkative young fellow is Jemello (African American). He is doing his best to collect as many CD’s as possible because he loves music and dancing. He also sings in his church choir. In addition to music, Jemello loves sports and spends huge chunks of time with his friends playing football and basketball. Because of his size, Jemello looks younger than he is and often tries to compensate with his gift of gab. Educationally, Jemello is very bright, although he had no public school involvement until coming into care. His teachers report that he completes his assignments with limited assistance, but sometimes has problems following directions. He has an Individual Education Plan and is working hard in school. Jemello had a traumatic early life and has a low level of coping skills. He needs help learning appropriate ways to socialize with his peers and develop relationships with adults. A two parent family as the oldest child is the recommended environment for Jemello. His parents must be unconditionally committed to providing Jemello with the nurturance, guidance, and patience he needs to transition into their family. This youngster has a lot going for him and looks forward to becoming part of a loving family where he can belong forever.
