Jeremy is a 9-year-old boy from North Carolina who is hoping to be adopted.

Jeremy is a very affectionate and loving child, once he gets to know and trust a person. He is very active and enjoys athletics and would benefit from participation in a team sport. Jeremy enjoys music, dancing and drawing. His favorite indoor activities are watching movies and playing video games. Outdoors, Jeremy loves to ride his bike, play football and tennis, and go hunting or hiking. Jeremy enjoys school and academically, he is very smart and able to stay ahead of his class in most areas. Behaviorally, he has at times been aggressive towards his classmates but he has made a significant amount of progress in the past several months with his behaviors. Jeremy's outburst at school and at home have significantly reduced since he first entered placement, though he still has issues with lying and food at times. He is a high energy child and needs someone that can help him deal with stress and tension. Jeremy needs a permanent adoptive home. He needs a highly structured environment with consistent consequences, incentives, rewards and love. He has shown his caretakers and team members that me can be very successful in an environment where is the only child. A plan for adoption would include the adoptive family meeting with Jeremy's social worker on more than one occasion prior to meeting Jeremy. It could also include some travel, as Jeremy is currently in a therapeutic foster home.
