Jeremy is an outgoing individual who loves to talk to people. He enjoys a multitude of activities and excels when “hands on” involvement is needed. Jeremy is artistic and likes to create things, but like many teens, he needs some prompting to be motivated. Once a project is initiated, he can work independently. Although he will not readily admit it, he is a natural working with young children, (K-1st). He has worked Vacation Bible School and volunteered at the YMCA day camp programs, working with kids in this age range. Jeremy is smart. When he applies himself, he is able to maintain average level grades. He has bee accepted to a vocational school into the Criminal Justice program to pursue studies to become a police officer. He struggles with separation, loss, and attachment issues and is receiving counseling to help him deal with those issues and appears to have made significant progress in recent months. This agency feels it would be in Jeremy’s best interest for him to maintain contact with his older brother.
